For a very long time, I have made mini-food. Sometimes out of real food, but mostly out of polymer clay. It is the epitome of relaxation to me, and it has been a useful tool for dealing with anxiety. Tiny projects are easy to complete, and nothing says CUTE like tiny food.
Re-creating mini food takes practice, and there are many mini-food makers out there that are way better than I am. But I will say, the technical aspect of mini-cooking really hones your skills with miniature making. You learn to focus on details, textures, colours etc. Its an opportunity to be creative, but within a certain boundary.
